Brief History

On 17 May 1990, this divine place which is enriched by the beauty of nature was established by Srimat Swami Premrupanandaji Maharaj, Secretary of Sri Sri Matri Mandir, Joyrambati that time.

It is situated 27 kms West from Arambag, 32 kms East from Bishnupur and 15 kms North-West from the birth place of Sri Ramakrina & Sri Maa Sarada Devi, which is at Kamarpukur and Joyrambati respectively.

According to the history, it has also been reported in famous spiritual book “Sri Sri Ramakrishna Kathamitra”, that in the year 1880 Sri Ramakrishna visited this place to witness Sri Dura Arati on 7th day of Durgapuja at Kotulpur Jamidar House (Bhadra Para). And Sri Maa Sarada also visited this place on 21st May 1909; it is recorded in a famous book written on The Life Story of “Sri Maa Sarada Devi”.

We consider this whole as our family and we all are the children of Srima Sarada. But there are few important members of this Ashram who are listed below :-

(d) Total members including the above - 112.

Property Details

This divine and pious shrine is built on 1.4500 Acres area, which consists of a temple, kitchen garden, guest room and Vivekananda Shiksha Niketan (Free Coaching Classes for poor children). This property is due to blessing of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi & Swami Vivekananda and irrational devotion of Devotees.
